Findings, file under Methods of Recording:

‘I love it when they say enjoy your stay’, an often deeply ironic statement on tourism, world economies, travel, belonging, xenophobia, and ecology collected in the pins on this board by Reiner Gogolin (and others).

Another pin board I like on Pinterest—much more frivolous—is ‘Zine Inspiration’ by Daily Poetics. All kinds of book forms, all kinds of ideas for making and designing books. I look at the images she’s collected and am reminded of how much more flexible I could always be when I am thinking about what a book is, how it can look, what it might contain, and what it might do.

There’s now a MIEL Pinterest as well—please feel free to follow and to suggest people for us to follow! We’re on the lookout for beautiful objects, books, and spaces.

Did you know MIEL’s open reading period has begun? We’re looking for full collections of prose and poetry, poetry chapbooks, and artists’ monographs. Details here.

Visit us in person at the Manchester Book Market, June 8-9.
